Solar Power Assessment and Style in Chester County Pennsylvania

Picture standing on your rooftop on a crisp Chester County Pennsylvania morning, sunlight cascading through the clouds, and wondering how to harness that golden energy effectively. Among the trickiest elements of solar installation is designing a system that works perfectly with your special property. Misjudging roofing angles, shading from trees, or perhaps local weather condition patterns can turn what must be a tidy energy win into lost capacity.

Lumina Solar PA understands how the particular landscape and climate of Chester County Pennsylvania impact solar performance. This is not just about slapping panels on a roofing; it has to do with crafting a bespoke solution that aspects in:

Michael ResigWe heard about Lumina through the nonprofit Solar Switch program. We have been interested in getting solar for many years, but the process of finding a good solar provider and getting a trusted quote was very difficult - until Lumina. Lumina has a team dedicated to helping you learn everything you need to know about the solar process and they keep you informed during the journey. Lumina was excellent with communicating every step and they managed all the paperwork, permits, installation, inspection, and warranty info. It was an incredibly smooth experience and it all happened very quickly. We’re excited and proud to have our home powered with solar, and we have Lumina to thank!Review of Lumina Solar PA in Chester County Pennsylvania by Michael Resig
Matthew CawthorneI was really excited with the idea of getting a rooftop PV system, and Lumina had really good reviews. Their price was nearly identical to another very highly rated company in my area and I liked the look of the REC panels so we went with Lumina. During the initial sizing I proposed a symmetric configuration that was pleasing to the eye and was told 'we can discuss the exact configuration during the engineering phase'. Well, I was never contacted until all of the approvals were complete and at that point it was too late to get the configuration that I wanted. The Lumina configuration was unsymmetric and had 1 fewer panel on the highly productive south facing roof. It was not the end of the world, but I take pride in the aesthetics of my house. In the end I was able to get them to make it symmetric, but with the one less panel in the good orientation. The biggest problem, however is that the panels on the front of the house are in a nearly ideal orientation, facing almost south, and with a roof pitch that is good for this latitude. The 400+ watt panels are oriented well enough that they should be able to generate close to 400 watts during the middle of the day (cloud cover permitting). Lumina specified and installed 300 watt inverters so those panels never produce more than 300 watts. Instead of a sine wave for production I get a curve that is clipped flat on top. 300 watt inverters are ok for the back of the house where the sun angles are not as ideal and the panels cannot produce as much power, but not for the front. So why am I giving them 4 stars? Well, their Operations department that scheduled and performed the installation did a really good job and were a delight to work with. The workmanship is really good and everything has been functioning for the first 16 months of operation. There were no surprises in the pricing.Review of Lumina Solar PA in Chester County Pennsylvania by Matthew Cawthorne
Scott A. WalsemanThis past spring I started to explore options for solar power. I spent time researching different companies and settled on Lumina Solar PA. I reached out and within a day had a return call and we discussed my solar needs. Jack Wood then worked up a solar plan and recontacted me about my options and cost. He spent time going over all the details, specs, and pricing. He also offered several options for financing. He then coordinated a roof engineer inspection. Once I made a decision to proceed the Lumina project team took over to handle all the permits, local, power company, and worked to keep the project on track. The installers were the best, really personable and ensured that any and all questions I had were addressed. They completed the install in 2 days. Final inspection was flawless. The entire experience was extremely smooth and pleasant. If you’re considering solar, you should explore Lumina Solar Pa, you won’t regret it.Review of Lumina Solar PA in Chester County Pennsylvania by Scott A. Walseman
marcwistTim was great at showing us all the options available for our house. We settled on a great fit for the house and our lifestyle. The installation was flawless and so quick. Since then the production of the panels have been wonderful and serving us perfectly.Review of Lumina Solar PA in Chester County Pennsylvania by marcwist
Chad SAfter meeting with a number of solar providers over the years, the timing and circumstances were right for me to put my trust in Lumina Solar. Peter Hayes was our consultant and provided a clear, easy to understand proposal. The projection software empolyed by Lumina is informative allowed us to make a decision based on multiple levels of data. Peter employs a low pressure approach and was willing to make sure all of our questions and concerns were addressed throughout the entire process. He took extra steps and allowed us to see real time production data of actual Lumina systems in our area. The comparison of the actual production statistics to their pre-project projections provided an extra layer of confidence to go solar. The install team was prompt, professional and took extra care with the alignment of the panels and aesthetics of the electrical system. We are over our one year mark with Lumina and our system has produced as predicted, even better! If you are considering solar, consider Lumina!Review of Lumina Solar PA in Chester County Pennsylvania by Chad S
Rodney NesmithWe investigated multiple solar providers. Lumina seemed like the best choice: knowledgeable staff, good value, designs that fit our needs. Now that our installation is done, we are extremely happy with it. The design was perfect for our home. And the construction was very well done. The Lumina staff were highly skilled, conscientious and courteous. They were done in two days, and the workmanship is excellent. Now, we enjoy using the Enlighten app to see how much electricity we are making. Not only does the app tell us how much electricity we are producing, we've found it useful in understanding and managing our electrical demand! We have several friends that are interested in solar energy, and we are encouraging them to consider Lumina. We are extremely happy with their work, and we think they would be too! December 2023 Update: We are now in our 7th consecutive month without having to buy a single KW of electricity from the grid! Also, two of our friends have used Lumina for their installations, and they've had the same experience. Excellent/knowledgeable sales staff, high quality installations, LOVE the Enlighten app for monitoring power production/use, and happy with the output from their systems!Review of Lumina Solar PA in Chester County Pennsylvania by Rodney Nesmith
Heather ReinerCourtney Sollenberger went above and beyond for us during our solar process. We had complications with PPL and Courtney was right there to help with the process. We had our roof replaced as well as the solar panels being installed. If we had to do the process over again we’d still choose Courtney and Lumina Solar!Review of Lumina Solar PA in Chester County Pennsylvania by Heather Reiner
